Thanks for looking, any opinions?
First try on a regrind, purchased this Co-Pilot from a forumite.
It was ground (sharpened) to the nubs, and had a blunt point.
I am not that fond of serrated blades, so I tried to convert it back
to a plain edge:
Roughed it out by hand on a bench grinder and hand tuned to
approx. 18-20 degrees each side with a coarse diamond stone.
For work I have to carry high end - bigger rescue knives / etc. but
I find I can use this puppy much of the time, I carry it in my jeans'
change pocket; thus the higher lanyard knot doesn't snag, easy to pull out..
Gin-1 blade, 30 seconds on a fine diamond stone is good for days.
Gets mean sharp on ceramic, but prefer the coarser diamond edge trails..
Roughly $20. + 3 hours honing invested. Happy camper here.
Super easy to sharpen now, almost there...
90 % done. Please give me your thoughts.
Great forum, you guys rock. -Thanks -Ron
