I wish to thank Horsewright (Dave) for his great tutorial on making a pancake sheath. Been wanting to try it for a while so I finally did. The photo shows a "trial" run, some things I wish to change up to make it look better, but it does work. Got to get better at keeping stitch in the groove, got to center the basket weave pattern better... all in all, it's sorta sloppy. Maybe next time I'll use the laser to engrave a deer head or something. I posted only to show Dave that I was trying and did really appreciate his tutorial thread.

Been wearing it a bit now, and I must say I like it better than the traditional loop hanging sheath. The pancake seems to be out of the way better when sitting, and still easy to get to knife when needed. I wear back a bit on my right side.

Very cool! Now lets see the next one. Just try to learn a bit more with each one ya do.

What's next? Another one of those trying to improve some of the things that are so obviously messed up. Plan to do some practice sewing in the groove so next sheath will have all the stitches in the groove.
