Hey guys, I'm relatively new to this forum. Just wanted to share my axe collection so far.

On the left is a Gransfors Bruk Scandinavian Forest Axe, middle Hults Bruk Bjork Splitting Axe, and my newest acquisition, my Tuatahi Work Axe.

All have seen fairly little use so far, which means I gotta go camping more! Lol

Thanks Woodcraft! I hope to go camping soon so that I can test these axes out and see how they perform. Stu at Tuatahi took good care of me and made this axe in a little over 2 months which was awesome.

Yeah it's a very heavy axe and the handle is pretty wide. It has a good elongated egg shape and the lack of a poll really needs that to find your edge angle. I took a few practice swings and man, this is no joke the work axe. Of course I am not very fit and 5'6" but I can still swing a 3lb head relatively easily but this head is about 5.5lbs, which is a lighter custom version I asked Tuatahi to make for me. Guess I gotta work up to it. Should throw really nice chips in some pine.

It will help to build up your wrist/forearm strength. You can do old school wrist curls, both standard and reverse. You can also "waggle" a heavy stick, bat, or steel rod, to build up the stamina/strength. Or...........you could just work your way up to it. Either way I look forward to pictures of the fun you have with it:)

Beautiful collection! Loving the Tuatahi axe. The Gransfors Scandinavian Forest axe is one of my favorites too!
