My B-Day!

Today is my 19th. My girlfriend wants to get me a knife, but I have no idea what to tell her to get. Too many choices. Any suggestions??

Give us a price and we'll gladly spend your money for you! What will it be used primarily for? Any quirky preferences?

P.S. Happy Birthday

Well, I have an BM mini-stryker that i carry daily. I have a fixed blade buck and an old USN MK2 knife. I think I am looking for another folding carry knife. Probably in the $50 price range.

Happy birthday! Ya didn't mention a price range or type of knife. In the folder arena, I would go with the Speedtech Synergy, there is nothing on the market that equals it,and Jim O'Young is a heck of a guy

.In the fixed blade category any of the number of custom makers that you'll find in the links section,Though I'am partial to Kurt Meerdink in NY.If anyone needs contact info for Kurt I would be more than happy to provide it.Thanks,Ralph

WHOOPS ya must have responded back before I submitted my post.Well lets see something in the $50.00 price range? I'am very partial to the Case series Copperlocks real beauties!I think you would be able to get something like a Spyderco Endura Stainless steel handles,I would get a plain edge though. Those are my two suggestions in the price range. Thanks,Ralph

I think it's time for you to add a Spyderco to the collection. For under $50 (delivered) you can get a Calypso Jr. Lightweight.

Swiss Army Knives, Mechanic or Deluxe Tinker both make a very handy knife/tool to have around, in fact I keep both of the above in my jacket pocket, The Mechanic has nice small pliers, and the Tinker has the phillips that comes out straight, magnifying glass and other neat features. Well made and last a lifetime. By Victorinox, of course...

I would say a Spyderco also, I think go with the Calypso Jr. but get the Micarta handles.

I've recommended this twice today...

CRKT - Wharncliffe Mirage

Great blade shape for general purpose and it looks elegant -- good for non-knife-people functions.

CONGRATS MAN AND WELCOME TO THE FORUMS...

I suggest maybe something in the Spyderco selectiong, they seem, to me, one of the best knives to recieve and giveaway and they are in a good price range also.....

Happy B-day and welcome. I must say that the spyderco endura was the best $45 i ever spent on a knife. I loved that thing and i could kill myself for loosing it. However, it gives me the opportunity to justify buying one of the new ones! Anyway, the endura is a great knife and i highly recommend it.
