Howdy.I had a couple small bags, with some essentials, but about two weeks ago,i decided to try this theory.I selected a few(4/5)small to medium duffle's,and started loading them up with different stuff in each one. Then,i put them,in order of reverse importance, from bottom to top.On bottom,is small bag, with socks,undies,shorts,2 shirts,up one in bag 2 is A large Buck sheath/hunting knife,a medium quality, multi tool, folding saw, some sweet rations/candy.in bag 3,medicines,bandages,better multi tool, small quality scissors, folding CS med.Tanto,1 weeks worth of can goods.up one ,bag 4>more foods,in the packs(such as poptarts, ramen noodles, etc.)CS original Tanto, the first one they made, remember the one that was stuck through the partial deck of cards on the old gambling table.Alcohol(rubbing kind).More snak bars, small stainless handle/blade hatchett. With room for my new .357,in the top bag. What i did this for,is to be able to have lots of stuff,if i need it,and have the means to carry it,it is around 50-60 pounds, like it is,but i wanted to know, should i reorganise it,in a different manner,in case i want to ditch some of it,the way i have it,is to grab the 2 bags in the top of the big bag,and run,but should i reverse the order, and put the not as important stuff on top,to throw it out of the top, while in hasty transit.I hope this kind of makes since. Thanks for any feedback, looking forward to you all's advise.---M.R.

Uh.. sounds like your bag is missing some mighty essential things in my book. Such as a sleeping bag, your ration seems to be quick energy burst versus long buring fuel. What about flash light? Carry 50 or 60 lbs isn't very fun and seems like most what you have that are heavy is probably the can food. why do you need two knives for? I would think one good solid big knife is all you need. If that, besides it wouldn't be in my bob It would be somewhere on my body. I personally don't see the need for a large bowie type knife. I rather go for a tomhawk and carry a 5 or 6 inch blade max. I find that using an 11 inch knife isn't always the best for doing chores around camp. What about water supply or some sort of water filter system? Seems like you are much more worried about food than water most people can go about 2 weeks without food, but you will die quickly without water. No problem with your choice of guns, I hope you went with the s&w .357 6 inch vs. colt python "however pythons look much nicer :)" I would prefer a shot gun myself auto. Shotguns are will always beat out hand guns at closer ranges. If I were you I put some of my more vital equipment a little in each bag just in case one bag gets stolen or lost I wouldn't be toast. Split up your medical supplies, throw a solar blanket in each bag they don't take up much room. Split up some up the energy bars in each bag as well.

Hope this helps, I just don't like to put all the important stuff in one bag if I can help it.

I have water in a cooler, allready to go(bottled)i have water also,in my truck toolbox,i usually use it up in 2 to 3 weeks, and replenish it.I think i forgot to say in my post, all the bags are in a fullsize duffle bag.Your right about one thing for sure,i dont have any sleeping bags/blankets or any bedding whatsoever. My plan is to get to our camp,if needed, and if possible, where all the ammenities of home or allready there, but first i,and my family ,need to get there, and it really is way into the woods.I have a few knives of different sizes ,in the truck,i always have my CS med.Gunsite on me,even when i sleep.I bought the Ruger .357,3inch barrell. Thanks for your help.i will pick up some water purification supplies, and some solor blankets. Thanks again---M.R.
