So today I was sitting in the Barbour chair, gettin' a trim. my brother went to get the mail while i was in the chair. he came back super exited and had his new kershaw vapor in his hand. my Barbour looked at it and said is that a kershaw vapor? startled we look at him and he explained. so my questions to you is did you guys every find i person who collected knives and surprised you?

I haven't met people, but I have surprised people. There was an antique show in town and one guy had a case of
Newer custom knives that he was trying to sell on the side if his antiques. He had an original gun hammer in Damascus. It was a Daryl Ralph original I believe. I asked if it was an gym gun hammer and his eyes got real big and he couldn't believe I knew what it was (almost lol).
I have met people that surprised me about being gun collectors though. What usually surprises me the most is people who I find that use a straight razor (and collect them) like I do.

Just the other day, I had a conversation with a guy at work (engineer on one of our tugs) who collects knives. He's mostly into vintage sheath knives, Marbles Safety Axe Co and the like. It was cool to chat about it, and he pulled out a neat book with all kinds of info, pics, and values.

Met a dentist once that was into Crk fixed blades.
I was working in his office and he saw me using my large sebenza and he said that it looked like an ambitious folder! I showed it to him and he recognized the cr logo.
He showed me his collection of made in africa crks. It was pretty cool.
He also edc'd a benchmade barrage.

Sadly no. My dentist is a hardcore hunter and gun nut, so we always talk guns (well, he talks guns, I usually have a drill in my mouth, making it hard to converse

I know! nothing wrong with gun nuts but we need more knife nuts!!!!

I aggree, then again it is easier to get into guns, the draw is a bit more apparent, though I like both equally
