It's very sad, but true. Normally keep it locked, but got an early start to my long weekend and after quite a few drinks I had to get a few things from my truck. Made a few trips back and forth and evidently left it unlocked. Usually kept it tucked under my console in the middle. I know others here have shared the same situation. Honestly, I received the knife a tad abused and at a very discounted price. So it's not rhe value lost that bothers me most, its the fact that whoever possesses it now will definitely not show it the respect I did. Just wantes to share.

Does every bussekin you own show up around a firearm?

Hope you get it back, brother..

Ratman, he was referring to pics him and I have exchanged in the past. You msy have misunderstood his post....It wasn't directed towards you. And no brother, the Beretta is safe....thanks.

My bad, trying to lighten the mood in what is otherwise a crappy situation.

It always sucks to have something with sentimental value stolen.

My first shotgun was stolen from my dad's house when I was nineteen or so. I was married, with kids, and had that.shotgun since I was ten. Lot of.busted clays out of that gun.

I still miss it.

Littlehoot---my apologies friend! I made an assumption out of context and I was wrong. And man, I would hate it if my 870 was stolen. Being how difficult it can be to obtain firearms (long guns also but mostly pistols) in NY, that Remington was my first way back when I turned 21. Kind of my 1st intro to sport shooting and firearms in general. Years later, many shells, modifications and irreplaceable memories are part of that gun. I'm sorry yours was stolen from you.

ZA--thanks for clearing that up and I sure hope your knife turns up somehow someway.

(Now without further ado, I'm going to see if this egg washes off my face)

We'll both have the eggs...

Firearms in the south are not so hard to acquire, but there are many here who have them in one family for many generations, each putting meat on the table in turn.
Sentimental value is often the only true value of an item, and it is priceless...

It ticks me off to see others suffer such BS, even if they are only cohorts/friends on an online forum. I'm really hoping ZA can recover his knife
