Here are some pics and details of the two first aid kids I use on my outings.

The first one is my standard FAK. I don't know the exact weight, but my guess is that it comes in right under a pound. I use this one the most. It goes with me on any outdoor adventure for the most part. Anything from taking the family to the lake to camping trips. On a backpacking trip, I would say it can do a good job for 2-3 people for a few days.

From left to right, top to bottom:

Various sized band-aids. Pretty obvious what these are for. About 6 normal sized ones, and 3 of the bigger ones.

Piece of moleskin. Good for blisters.

Alcohol prep pads. Good for cleaning wounds and blisters. About 6 of them in that baggie.

Moist Towelettes. Good for cleaning up a bloody part of your body or if you get blood on your hands. 4 in there I believe.

4x4 non- stick pads. I keep 3 of these. Good to put over larger wounds if you expect to have to change the dressing.

3x3 gauze. Goes over the non-stick pads or can go directly over a wound. 4x4 is a more ideal size, but I can't find them in that size around here.

Liquid bandage. Good for closing small wounds once the bleeding stops.

2 pair of Nitrile gloves.

OTC medications:
-12 200mg Motrin
6 Pepto Bismol Tablets
6 Lopermide (anti-diarrhea)
4 Tylenol PM. I keep these mainly as a mild sleep-aid. Often times I have a hard time sleeping when I am camping because I am anxious/excited.
6 Benadryl

A few feet of duct tape (can be used a substitute for ace wrap in a pinch) and a few feet of Dura-pore tape(breathes unlike duct tape, but doesn't have as strong as an adhesive).

Tube of super glue. Good for sealing wounds, or when the tape adhesive won't hold.

Small pair of sharp tweezers. These are the best I have found for tick removal.

Saline drops. Good for rinsing out your eye or as sterile water to irrigate a wound.

Neosporin. I wish I could find this in a smaller container around here. Good to keep wounds clean. They make this in a small spray bottle, but I prefer the gel kind. It is greasy and stays on better, and keeps wounds from sticking to bandages.

A few safety pins. Can pop blisters or used to rig a sling.

Ultra-Light Kit

This one is for when I really wanna keep pack weight down. More ideal for smaller trips where I can a)reach my car/help in the event of more serious injuries, and b)suck it up for short periods of time.

Weight on this one is probably in the 4oz range.
