Thank you Yangdu! The anticipation nearly killed me but i got it! I havent tried it out yet, but it looks great, it's about half an inch on the spine and shes got some of the best curves i've seen. One of the bottom two arcs in the bolster apears to have been secured differently than the other, but i'm pretty sure they are both perfectly sturdy, i will get a good feel when i test it out. I have a vine maple stave somewhere that would be a perfect canidate to test it on. The feel of it is intoxicating, i cant wait until summer when i can go test it out in earnest. If i can i will post pictures tomorrow. Just feeling this blade makes me want another, perhaps a chitlangi or sirupati, hehe.
I'm having trouble identifying the Kami who made the knife, it apears to be a line with a sideways w against it, like the flag of Nepal, pointed from handle to blade tip. and next to it is a circle with what apears like two lines similar to equal signs = going out left, right, top, and bottom, perhaps a sun? Then above are two different expressions in a language i dont recognize. If anyone knows this by my poor description then i will be amazed.
Does anyone else have an M43? Perhaps pics as well?

The M-43 is perhaps my favorite blade style. I've got two - one with a wood handle and the other with an antler handle. I hope to get a horn-handled one to complete the trinity. Congrats on a great blade.

Just picked up my first Khuk, and it happened to be a wood handled m43 as well. I'm liking it a lot. It just feels right in the hand, not too heavy, and just the right length. If I hadn't heard so many good things about HI khuks, I'd think I lucked out. Thanks, Yangdu!

The M-43 is in my top five:) It handles a bit differently compared to other khuks, but once you get used to it, man does it chop!

If the AK is at the extreme of the chopping spectrum and the Kobra is at the end of the weapon spectrum, then I would put the M-43 a little more weapony than choppy with the WWII being slightly more choppy than weapony. I really love mine. I need to make a slim leather sheath for it.

My brother's M43 with my 21.5" Chitlangi. Both are made by Sher.

Eric,
You gotta complete the trio!

Raindog,
You made a great choice, we actually have similar ones, you beat me to the punch on that one but she had another without white metal fittings that i got. So in a sense we got brothers!

Steely,
Coming from you that is high praise, i have seen the many beauties you have worked on and modded, thank you for complementing my precious (haha).

Wolf,
Mine is nearly the twin to your brothers just a slight variation in the grain. They sure have the looks. Your Chitlangi is almost exactly what i hope to get next. I'm going to have to save my pennies and wait for a deal of the day. I'm a starving student with knives ;)

I still hope to get pics of the makers mark up, perhaps in a few hours, the camera is missing >.>

Your M-43 is made by Vim Bhadur Kami.
Thank you

I haven't measured it. I took a few pics of it the day it arrived and wrapped it up for Xmas.

He loves that khukri. He drooled over mine for a long time so I decided to get him one of his own.

Now he wants a H.I. WW2 khukri too;)

Well i'm confused then, here is the excerpt from the description on the online store. "Based on the WWII khukuri, the M43, which was designed as an update of the Mk II which was basically a WWI design. The new knife had a stronger grip attachment system, a wider pommel and better bolster design at the blade. The balance is slightly more forward and the blade could arguably considered stronger"
