My Becker BK7 mods

I used a round file to carve the handle grooves.
I used a Dremmel tool & grinding wheel to cut out the choil in the blade.
Almost a Busse now!! Lol.
What a poorboy wont do to make a good knife.
 
I'm just guessing, but the dremel tends to localize the heat to a small area being effected.

I would think there would be a danger of damaging the heat treatment, but only to the non-cutting area of the choil and maybe a lil bit at the terminator of choil to edge.

Who knows? The mods do look cool though. Nice job! :thumbup:

forgive my ignorence, but how does the choil effect the performance of the tool? i have often wondered that.
 
It lets ya choke up on the blade for fine work & nice balance.
Thanks all. I posted it to show y'all should never fear adding your own touches to a knife to improve its fit.

Great job! That handle looks fantastic! I keep thinking Ive got enough projects on the go, then YOU go and inspire me to take on another! Thank you VERY much!! LOL
