Good choice of knives there! You're going to love the 9. I've had one for around two years now, and it's a tough beast, yet easier for me to get nasty sharp than the Campanion. This is probably due to the thinner blade and different grind of the 9.

My next Becker will be an Eskabar. I noticed in your pictures that your two Eskabar sheaths are different. Does the Eskabar sheath differ from the Necker's?

I really don't have a clue, I ordered them from the same place and thats just the way they arrived....:confused:

Hey melt, after loads of complaining customers (the old chisel-type sheath was pretty bad with rattling and blade dulling) a new one was designed. The left sheath in the Necker/EsKabar picture is the new model, the other two are old. Since BK11 and BK14 have the same blade, they also have the same sheath, so this is interchangeable.

Ah. Thanks for that info. Yeah, the old Necker sheath was not my favorite, and it did dull the knife.
