Well I checked the mailbox this morning and .........*no package* :( so I went by the Post Office right before closing time to check on it and it had just arrived! Long week of waiting, but the reward was worth it.

BK21st Impressions.

HEAVY! I knew it would be hefty since it's 1/4'' stock, but still....you pick this thing up and you KNOW it's a serious piece of hardware!

Was nicely packaged (as y'all know) in a ''tactical black'' (LOL) KBAR box. (not a single bell or whistle) ;)

I like the sheath, looks nice and works well...but I now know why the dangler strap is usually replaced...real PITA. Will be modded ASAP, but overall I have zero problems with the factory sheath.

Was pretty durn sharp out of the box, good clean edge.

Coating was nice and even, not a blemish on whole knife.

Grivory...I'm apparently one of the lucky ones, the scales fit me like a glove, knife just ''feels right'' in my hands...and I like the feel of them. I had debated some Micarta or Wood aftermarket grips or possibly sanding or stippling the Grivory but based on my usage of the knife so far, I'm leaving it stock.

enough of my silly prattle...let's have some BECKER PORN!!! (I apologize in advance, it's a cam phone and I aint a pro photographer)

Take a good look boys...will be first, last and only time you will see my BK2 pristine.

Cross Grain chopping, worked well considering my cut-up hand is sore and I wasn't using full force

Cross Grain Batoning, worked Superbly! Much better then chopping.

Reason I wasn't too aggressive with the knife-handling today LOL

Oh, I got a nasty stab from one of those darn things once. It was so sharp it didn't hurt until two days after though.

A BK2 and blood?!?! I'd say this thread is a winner.

Congratulations on the the "Beast K2".

Jeezus...Those Mora 1's are frickin vampires! When I had a new one it got me good in 20 minutes. Still have scar on my finger.

Don't mess up that handle, you may regret it. Try the thin black Wilson tennis wrap from Wal Mart...I use it OK all my big knives. You'll love it.

I like it the way it is. Im gonna try the wrap just because it's a cheap and non-permanent mod...but I dont think I'll need or want it. Loving the grips so far.

You will come back and say "you were right!". Just feels more secure in the grip and very comfortable for being thin. Good first Becker. Was mine too. Now you need a Nix Leather sheath for it...

Now that is how to make a thread that counts for a Beckerhead number. Good job.

Even though you're wounded and it's freezing you put it right to work. Are you left handed or were you chopping with your "off" hand? Enjoyed the pics... thanks...

Ya'll stand up, take note.

We start with a pristine BK2, move through to batonning, finish with blood.

Now this, is a solid thread.

<clap><clap><clap>

Well done, and congrats on the new blade, brother, looks like its in good, albeit bloody hands.

unfortunately the blood was drawn by an outlander :)

I'm right-handed. I'd rather use my sore right hand then whale away with that Orc-Killer using my leftie! LOL the BK2 wouldn't just give me a babycut like the Mora...it would remove large chunks of flesh if I slipped up with my offhand.

Congrats on the new 2! What's all that white stuff on the ground? Our big winter storm didn't pan out as advertised here. Good job puttin her to work early or you may have ended up losing some more blood.

agreed ^

The only thing that would have made it better is if you cross battoned that tractor in the background haha ;) The 2 was my first Becker. Congrats man. Given any thought as to what one is next?
