I carried it last night. I don't think this will become a daily carry though. It will sit on the coffee table and inspire deep/intelligent conversation.

I have one, like it very much and have no idea what to do with it. The closes thing to it is the classic folding machete used in air force bailout kits.

The XL Espada in aluminum is even nicer... :D;):thumbup:

Nice score BTW! :thumbup::thumbup::thumbup:

You're right, hadn't caught that. Tip up only? Pass.
Just kidding, CM, congrats on the new baby. :thumbup:

It's saying something that this knife is too big even for Even YOU to EDC! Is this a first? I am thinking of the shoulder holster you have for the ball peen hammer....

I don't have an espada but do have one of the CS Rajas, it's wildly impractical but I'm impressed by how well the wavelike feature works, looks like the espada is similar in that respect. Maybe the heavy blade helps, once it starts to open the momentum carries it through.

Very leery about CLOSING the raja for the same reason, even if my finger is hitting the Ricasso not the blade it could cause a world of hurt.

These are huge, ludicrous, and I would never carry one, but I really want to get one, especially the aluminum version.

Actually the original traditional navajas were often much larger, some up to 36 inches OAL when opened. They really were folded swords for those who were otherwise prohibited from having swords.

This one was only 33 inches in OAL:
