I just wanted to share with you guys the best Christmas of my life.
I started making knives just over a year ago after a heart attack the Doc's said I shouldn't have survived. My "family" adopted me 16 years ago when I met my wonderful wife. They have encouraged and supported my knife making efforts.
Funds being short as usual, I decided to buy supplies and make every adult family member a knife. The 14 knives ranged from a father/son 7" bowie pair to some 3 1/2" EDC's with all the ladies getting a 4" paring Knife. Heck, I even gave my wife's ex ,who likes to cook, a chefs knife.
Christmas Eve is our gift time. As the jumble of gifts were passed around, I watched the faces as they opened my gifts. I saw smiles,wide eyes and even a few tears. My neck is still sore from all the hugs.
This might be my last Christmas, but God made it the best one ever.
