I got the SOD a few weeks ago and I am extremely impressed at the versatility of this blade. The edge was a little rough when I got it but I took some steel off and have it near a convex new and spooky sharp
For me the sheath is just as important as the knife and with the SOD being my primary blade I had to make a good setup for it.
I started with an awesome azwelke pancake sheath and an ESEE molle back. The holes werent drilled to match so I screwed the molle back in on one side and then hockey taped it around in 3 spaces which gives it a ridiculously secure fit. I then mounted molle locks on the front and cord wrapped it with about 20 feet of 550. I used some more cord to attach the front pouch and there you have it. An exeptionally versatile and comfortable sheath
Im planning on getting another front pouch and mounting two of them horizontally so I can carry a multi tool and or mini grip as well as the other stuff.
one ferro rod, one flick striker, waterproof matches, q tips, super glue, nail clippers, a cheap sharpener (need to get an fine ceramic stone) and a whistle/compass/ thermometer.
