My Biggest, Baddest Bowie yet!!

I'm just about done with this big bowie. The 5160 blade is 10 7/8" by 1/4" thick and overall is 16 1/4". It's the biggest knife I've ever made but I don't think it's the heaviest cause I'm tapering my blades more than I used to. I'm also making it slimmer and pointier from the clip. The balance is 1 1/8" in front of the guard. The handle is bloodwood which I wasn't sure I'd like but it's what I had on hand. I really like the way it turned out though. I'm going to work on the sheath right now. Any opinions on this (good or bad) would be very appreciated. Thanks much!

I really like that!! That is sweet!! In fact, I LOVE that!! I look forward to seeing the sheath with that.

Awesome piece. The clip and handle turned out great. That thing is definitely a monster. What is the balance like with the changes to the design?

I don't think I'd like the clip like that on your shorter knives but it looks great on the longer blade.

That's is just pure knife at it's best IMO Ray. Someone is going to be a proud owner :)

Thanks to all for the comments. I just finished the sheath (mostly). I think I'm going to make a frog for it too. Have a look...

VERY nice Ray. One of your best. I also really like the contour of the handle. Any other pics f/the top would be nice.

That's brilliant! The blade reminds me of "osoraku"--half the blade length is the tip.

Great lines, too. I too want to know when this is up for grabs. :D

(I hope you took my joke the way it was intended...)

Obviously this knife is worth WAY more than $100... but... if you'll take $50 for it I'll even pay for shipping.
