I'VE GOT MY FIRST SPYDERCO!!! And it's not just any Spydie, it's the MILITARY!!! WHOA!!! AWESOME!!! This is what 'quality' is all about!
It always seems to look just a bit 'runty', a bit smallish in the pics. But THIS is a FOLDING KNIFE!!!
This thing is a beaut! Every parapgraph, I open it and 'check it out' again! Solid! Strong! With a huge handle that is even comfortable in my large hands! And what a gorgeous flat grind! I don't know why, but I just seem to prefer the flat grinds. Maybe it's just cuz I'm a sort of simple guy. This is a knife! What would I need a 3 1/2" - 4" fixed blade for, if I've this? (I used to be a 'fixed-blade only' collector. About the only folding knife I had was my Official Boy Scout Knife, and a fake 'Buck 110'. I'd rather carry three or four fixed-blade knives that could really 'take the heat', than to rely on some 'cute' little wimpy folder! This thing ain't cute, it's gorgeous; and it ain't wimpy, it's the Military! New Recruit through Military Chief of Staff, and every branch of the Service all rolled into one mean, hungry, do-it-all-and-still-demand-more, hardcore cutting machine!!! Awesome!!!)
Uh-hem! I'll try to control myself now.
Why should I? It's my birthday! YAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!
There, I feel better now.
Back to the lean, mean, cutting machine! The handle! Sal, who I believe designed this work of art, must have the exact same size hands that I do! It's soooooo comfortable! I feel I could cut with this thing for days, and my hand(s) would just enjoy the experience.
But there is a problem I've noticed with it: it all the more makes me want another, fully serrated Military for the other side!!! That's the problem! My next birthday isn't for another year yet!
The good side of that equation, is that I just read that Sal & Co. are possibly planning on a left-handed Military with the new 'Rolling Lock'! Can hardly wait!
I'm definitely in love with the Military. We were meant for each other! What more can I say?

Cutting through all the muck,
we get to what's really important.
