So I was throwing some tobasco sauce on a sausage bisquit the other day when I remembered Bladite had said that hot sauce makes an awesome patina.
I think it was Bladite...?
So I grabbed the trusty BK-11 and unsheathed it from Thrillbilly's Kydex.
I had polished my BK-11 some time ago so I was not sure if I'd have trouble putting a patina on her.
I cleaned it up and dried it. Sprinkled some tobasco on one side then the other.
I stood it up with the blade down.
The tobasco started running down in a pretty cool pattern.
I let it sit for 45-55 minutes. Rinsed it with warm soapy water two or three times. Dried it off and here's what I got.

I really liked the polish, but I really like this patina too.
I guess if I get tired of it I could just sand it off and polish her up again.
I think I'll leave it like this for a while. I really like the drippy pattern.
