Hmmm...The micarta for your 7 looks really weird, especially in the 4th, 8th and 11th photos. It looks like it was only partially grinded for the contours and then left unfinnished.
 
Yeah there are some really rough grind marks on it,but I like it - it gives me a good grip,unlike the slippery Grivory.
 
That 7 looks like it's working out pretty good for you.
I love the micarta as well.
It makes a great knife even better.

Same here. I put the micarta on my old BK-5 and there are some rougher spots on it. I reckon it makes it that much more grippier, and grippier is better. Plus it has a more rustic and hand made look I dig.

Enjoy that BK-7. It's one of my favorite Beckers; the USMC combat knife, now perfected by Ethan Becker.
 
I've had a Ka Bar USMC before,didin't worked out for me , the BK 7 however is a entire different animal - a great field tool :)
