A little while ago i posted a pic of a friends bk11 that i put scales on. Decided it was my turn. I used some 3/16th od and black 2x2 layer g-10. I rounded the spine today also and added the jimping a while ago using a 5/16th chainsaw file.

This was before.

I want the scales longer for a better fit to my hand. this is how i solved the gap.

This is what i have now. I have a little finishing work left to do, but she is almost done.

sorry for the crappy pics , cell phone and all :( hope you all enjoyed them anyway.

Where in Colorado are you, venmm? Definitely nice work, although personally I don't like covering the bottle opener; I'd get a 14 if I wanted a longer handle. I love that G10, and you've done a great job with the texturing.

Thanks guys.

Aurora. i bought this well before the 14 was out . I may still pick up a 14 .

Very nice man, I love that OD and black combo. Ever think about putting a patina on that 11? I bet it would look nice with that new handle.

Damn, that looks cool.

Hows it feel in the hand, and does the weight of the G10 pull the balance back in the hand alot?

Moose

Those handles look really good but you killed the bottle opener.

LOL .. I know. Most guys will think Im nuts im sure but I do not like beer at all so no loss to me. Now if it had a gin opener that would be a different story.

Thanks Moose. It really is not to heavy in the hand. at least for me. And they feel great.

Thanks Guys for all the positive feedback. :)

Not that I've found so far. I mostly bum around in the Cherry Creek riparian if I have to be close to home. Haven't been there too long. And @Liveitloud, I think he used "it," not "I." Sorry, it's the test prep teacher in me...
