We need pics!

Oh man, I just talked to the mailman and he said 5.5 weeks is way too long. He thinks it got lost or stolen somewhere along the way. That's sad. I might just have to order a BK7 to calm my mind.

Sorry to hear that... I totally understand your urge for "compensation purchase". Be prepared for the urge to buy a 9 afterwards

True dat. Bought BK11, 2, and 9 with a month of each other and now I'm lookin at buying the BK7 and micarta handles the first of next month!!

The BK2 is a "gateway knife" I have only had it just over a week and i now have a BK13 a BK14 and a TDI clip headed to me as I type this. My name is John and I have a problem. ;)

Well, on behalf of Ethan, who is AWOL at the moment, I would genuinely like to thank ya'll for buying Beckers.

Feeling the same urges. Already plotting 14s for my girls, an 11 for me, and the Mini Camp & Mini Mags are already bought as far as I'm concerned. Trying to figure out what the fullsize 5 is supposed to be used for so I can buy one of those too.

However, stronger than the urge to accumulate more pristine Beckers is the urge to get back out of the city with my BK2 and use it more. Come on, Saturday!

OK , to make a long story even longer...

It all starts about 3 weeks ago , when I bought GenerallyAwsomeDude's BK2 . I must admit it was a shot in the dark for me because I didn't know how my local customs will deal with this ( all I found was mixed information about it , but mostly showed no problem). Shipping was a little complicated to accomplish but GAD did lots of effort to make it happen

Then I waited and waited and waited ...

Last saturday evening was the jewish holiday of "lag baomer" , in which everybody (mostly kids and their parents) lights campfires in every possible location and eating campfire-related food . So I took my biggest outdoor knife to the moment , a Muela/Alce hunting bowie , a 6" that wasn't specifically designed for heavy duty work .
My friends were once again amazed of my "survivor techniques" as I chopped some logs and pried 2X4's nailed together with the knife ...
I kept thinking : "I need a bigger knife" .

(yes, I am a big Klingon)

This is how the edge looked afterwards : dull and dirty , but not real damage .

The tip suffered a little more of the prying :

Well , a day after that , a note from the mailman waited for me , and I day after that , the bigger knife arrived !
It felt so heavy , and the grivory is slippery to my taste , that first thing first , a lanyard and inner tubes where added :

(I also removed the floppy belt loop)

The factory edge (GAD hardly used the knife) was indeed axe-sharp . 20 minutes with a coffee mug and 2000 grit paper made it more knife-sharp . It is still a work in progress :

The little older brother is very happy ... And so am I !!!!

A campfire is coming soon - no holiday needed !

Congrats Stifa on your new BK2. Did you mount a Tek-Lok to the sheath?

Thanks. I think I'll first try to paracord the sheath for carrying. Right now it seems too heavy for horizontal belt carry for me.
