I believe I am done messing with it and it is now ready to be carried and put to use. Couple before shots before it starts it's life's journey, I've either had pocket knives or big knives but this knife handles and feels real good to me. I like the size and weight for just getting out and about in the woods or mountains. It will be traveling with me to Colorado next month for sure.

Amazing brutha! Puts my 15 to shame!!
Did u use gun blue? Or did u use another method, like mustard?

Stripped it last night, sanded it today until it was fairly shiny, did a vinegar base patina followed by the hot sauce patina stripes.

Took the glamour shots since it's new but I will just let it wear and develop a natural patina down the road. Also since it would be used on stuff I'm going to put in my mouth I avoided any harsh chemicals like blueing.

Great job! What sheath is it from Ka-Bar? And where will you be in Colorado?

That thing looks great! I will be interested to see what it looks like down the road.

Looks nice!

I love my 15. It's a great knife. I really need to strip it and let it's slicey goodness really come out to play.

Thanks everyone for the compliments!

Gotta break out the worksharp and put an good edge on it and my bk9 so I can go play in the woods this weekend.

Really liking the pattern patina, I keep flipping back here to check it out when it's bumped hehe. I haven't done one yet and this makes me want to try it but I don't have anything I want to strip at the moment.

You'll def enjoy the 16, no doubt, its nice. The 15? At its current price you'll be like "this was what?how much? No way! I'm getting another!" So, yeah... Do eeeet!
