I got these scales from Tommythewho last week and I am very, very impressed.
The fit and finish are fantastic! The Cocobolo is beautiful.
I don't know why I waited as long as I did to order scales from Tommy.
These pictures don't do alot of justice. It's overcast her in Wa. believe it or not and the camera wouldn't cooperate.
The detail in the wood is unbelievable!
I did a quick strip of the coating.
I should have followed up with another coating of stripper, but I was just really anxious to get the scales on.
I'll do another coat sometime in the near future.
I took my smallest chainsaw file and made the jimping notches a bit deeper and wider.
It makes the jimping a little more agressive, which I like.
I also sanded the spine to sharpen it up.
It didn't take long and makes a big difference.
This is the knife I won from Ethans urban survival challenge. I absolutely love it!
These Tweeners are very comfortable in hand and a perfect size for an "all around" knife.
