AND I CANNOT WAIT! I have a couple bucks and a Anza. This knife will dwarf all who came before it. I will be using it for backpacking and house hold chores. :)

I will probably make some scales. Any wood suggestions?

Me thinks Wenge would look real good on a stripped blade. Or Desert Ironwood. Gawd, that stuff is gorgeous.

I was thinking teak. Both my bucks have desert Ironwood. They do look awesome. I would like it to be as light (color) as possible. Teak looks good raw, but it darkens up with oil. I was also contemplating Oak... Keep the suggestions coming...

the good thing about teak is that it is light weight ( thus not adding weight to the handle) and also it is waterproof, so will be better for outdoor use....you willl still need to put oil on it or some other finishing stuff but for me, mineral Oil does the job pretty good

congratulations on the best purchase you have ever done regarding a knife
