My BK2 mods, finally got pics

Hey guys, guess what? I finally got pics of my BK2 up, and I wanna share them. The mods are fairly basic, I've added a velcro leg strap with ABS clips for easy on and off, without removing your belt or backpack. Added a leg strap to keep it from flapping and help with the flopping issue when you unsnap the knife. Also added a random paracord wrap to 'help with retention', I don't think it works, but I keep a decent amount of paracord with it, wrap also holds the legstrap on. Slid a Coghlans ferro rod between the sheath and strap attachment point, held in with a paracord fishermans knot loop.

Right now it's only sheath mods, but future mods will include jimping, making a striking area inside the lanyard hole, adding new scales, wood probably, stripping, and maybe getting a name for the knife engraved into the blade or maybe the spine.

Overall view.

Velcro (hook & loop) belt loop that I cut a little short, worked out decently, will be replaced later.

Same loop, closed on my finger.

Leg strap, 5/8 webbing with 1 inch ABS clips, I didn't buy the webbing, I just took it off an old canteen sleeve.

Paracord wrap close up, also holds the leg strap on.

Back side of sheath with paracord wrap, as well as the coghlans (el cheapo, but works good enough) ferro rod, strapped around the front of the sheath.

Front lower half.

Got some more shots, showing how the sheath wears, and some of my baby in action.

In... I mean on my pants.

With her new toy.

Batoning some old wood.

Cross grain batoning more wood.

Starting to show some skin already, they grow up so fast ;)

Snuggling her new daddy.

Please tell me what you think, I really want feedback on it.

You mustache rocks.

Oh you mean you wanted feedback on your mods? Ingenious. Well done. I need to go in the navy or something because I can't figure out knotting to save my ass. Luckily the old Turks head works or my shelters and hammocks would just be, well, tarps on the ground. Your cordage looks great

Thank you for the kind words about my facial hair and my cordage. If you need to learn knots then join a Boy Scout troop, preferably one with kids that know how to tie knots, tends to help if there's someone to teach you. The only knot you know is the turks head, interesting...... I just learned that one for making woggles (neckerchief slides) not to long ago.

nice mods, very well thought out!
Moustache rocks brother.

Thank you. I'm glad you think my mods were very well thought out, because I just wrapped the couple spare pieces of black 550 cord I had on them and hoped for the best :)

Yes, moustaches do rock!

good work

Thank you, but I have a feeling that I took to long in wrapping it when it was wet, so it dried up on me and isn't as tight as it looks. I just wish I had planned it out more so I didn't have that ugly mess in the back....
