Just got this done and want to let you know how terribly easy this is to do with very no power tools; as I've only heard of people using a drill!

All you need is the original sheath (type II), a large Tek-Lok, a pair of cutting pliers and a SAK.

All in all it took about 15 minutes and feels a lot better on my hip than just attaching the Tek-Lok directly to the sheath.

He removed the webbing loop from the back piece that attaches to the BK2 sheath, then used chicago screws (aluminum screw posts) to attach the tek lok.

alright, how did you do it? it looks like a clean install

Ripped off the strap, cut off the rivets with the pliers and then used the two screws with the rubber washers to fasten the Tek-Lok.

Voilà!

Was easy as pie!

Indeedy! ;)

Any way you could post some more details on this? Maybe a step-by-step? Or maybe just a few more pics would clear up exactly how you did it. Sorry if it seems like a stupid question, but it looks like a great mod.

Sure thing buddy! :)

I used the pliers to rip off the canvas/nylon (whatever the material is) and after that, used the same pair of pliers to cut the heads off the little bolts that held the strap to the sheath (this was a little fiddly).

Once the bolts are removed, there are 3 holes that line up perfectly with the holes on the Tek-Lok and I used the screws that came with it and the rubber washers to attach it to the sheath.

Here's a vid showing the similar process.
