Took a hike a few days ago on a trail behind my house. My BK2 came along for the ride. Also did some land clearing/tree skinning.

I really enjoy seeing all the photo's ppl post up here from all over the world of their various projects and adventures so I thought I'd chip in a few more from my neck of the woods. Seems like a great community you all have created here.

Cedar shingle bridge over a swampy area:

I carved myself a makeshift spear from a small cedar tree that doubled as a walking stick. Another cool "bridge"

Can you spot the BK2?

My BK2 is kinda a beater. I use it a lot and cut everything with it. The blade could use a little cleaning I guess but I kinda like the "natural" patina of it.

I cut this one down with the Stihl not the BK2 but figured I'd throw it it anyway:

I did however chop most of the branches off with my BK2 for the bonfire :)

Cheers to all...

Very nice picks man, I really enjoy all the pics out in the woods also. I love your neck of the woods, would like to move there some day.

Nice. That looks like some seriously dense forest. I'm gonna have to make it out to the Pac-NW someday. Thanks for bringing us along! Awesome pics and the BK2 looks like it is very well loved!

pretty great pics. i wish i had something even close to that in my backyard. thanks for sharing. love the bk2

Great pics! I love those cedar bridges. I also bet that you smelled awfully smoky after that fire. :D

Thanks for taking the time to post! I wish I lived with a woods in my back yard...over here its all flat fields. :(

Did you make those bridges and walkways yourself?

You know, this is one thing that I do miss. I grew up in the midwest (Northern IL/Southern WI) and moved out to the Phoenix valley in 2008. I did a lot of camping with my dad when I was younger. Unfortunately there's not a lot to do right here. Sure I can head north a little - and I'm planning to soon - but it's not like I can just decide to go do a camp out at noon on a Saturday and be out and set up in the afternoon.

These are some great pictures, and I love the look of that BK2. It may be a 'beater' but that's good honest wear and gives it some great character.

Your BK-2 looks awesome with that "I just got done clearing a forest" patina. Cool pics. Looks like your in my neck of the woods. I love Wa. in the spring and summer!

Great pics and awesome adventure right in your backyard! Makes me miss the great northwest.
