This thing is a beast! I actually bought it almost a year ago because of this forum. I almost immediately replaced the handles--mainly because I love the look of these micarta handles. I also have a necker, but it is currently packed in the car, and it's too cold outside to go get it. :o

Unfortunately, so far my Becker has only been on one overnight trip, but I'm hoping to get out more in the upcoming year. The family is trying to pull together a Colorado backpacking trip this summer :thumbup:

The last picture includes my Christmas present from my wife this year--I love my wife! :D
 
Coffy, I've got the BK2 with the grivory scales. These are some of the best pics I've seen of micarta, you are pushing me over the edge to get a pair!

Thanks for the compliment! It took a bit of fiddling with my "point and shoot" to get some decent pics. My opinion is that the micarta is a fantastic upgrade--go for it!

And yes, she is pretty fantastic. She's already given me the green light for the "tweeners" when they come out.
 
very nice! i have the same od green/orange esee-4 as well. the 4 is the only knife i like so much i actually bought a duplicate. i really can't wait to see how the 'tweeners stack up against it.
 
Thanks JV3! I am really pumped about the Tweeners, and if they had been out at Christmas time I'd have one of them instead.

I'm super pumped about the Esee4 as well though. Some of the pictures you posted are the ones I showed my wife to "give her ideas" for christmas, so thanks again! :cool:

I came here to post the exact same thing. I haven't been too hot on the other pictures of BK2's with the micarta scales, but I Think the Desert Tan/Khaki colored paracord that you have wrapped around your old-style sheath makes it look like it goes together.

Good setup, man. Your added functionality made it more aesthetically pleasing.
 
I like it, needs some more love though, be sure and feed that dude in the kitchen, or else he may take some flesh from ya:D

That is a cool setup on that sheath, the Khaki Para looks good with that handle. You should slap you a firesteel under the wraps, for some function and toughness. :D
