The hawk is a custom from North River Custom knives out if Quebec. I've customized it over the years but it's still one of my favorite pieces.
The trade knife I got from the Townsends website a few years back. It looks like a Jeff White but it isn't. According to the good people on the site, the maker is a protégé of Mr. White. It's quality is superb. 20260206_165557.jpg20260206_165923.jpg

A handsome pairing!

How thick behind the edge is the trade knife? I've looked at them several times and always got the impression that it was a little on the thick side. I will be glad to be proven wrong.

It's not very thick at all. It hits that sweet spot where it's thin but doesn't flex during use.
If I can scare up my calipers later I'll measure it to be sure.
