Wow. What a weekend. This was my first trip to Blade and hopefully not my last. Where else can you see tons of beautiful knives, meet lots of great people and overhear Al Pendray and Don Fogg talk about heat treating.:D

I met tons of forumites there and all were really cool folks. First were my roommates Jeremy Reynolds and Yoda4561 aka Dan(don't call me Ray Bobo) Maben. I had a blast guys! Other neat people I met were Alchemy Knife(Pam) PFF, KVC135(Ken), Maurice, Ren the Devil's Trailboss(beautiful singing voice :P ) Tom Carey, Bob Porter(very cool guy), Danelle, Esav Benyamin, Rawhide Clyde, Rev. Pete, Brandon, NC Blades, Gollnick, Gus Kalanzis(finding Gus at a show is easy, look for the guy with a huge smile and walking really fast) and tons of others I can't think of at the moment. All great folks. Thanks for making Blade so much fun.

Some of the makers, dealers and production company guys I met were Kit Carson(You are the best, thanks again), Rob Simonich(wicked sense of humor), Don Eargle from Phoenix Blades, Mike and Kristi Obenauf, Les Robertson, Will Fennell, Bob Doggett, Jerry Hossom, Jerry Hendrix, Wayne Hendrix,Brad Duncan(thanks for the t-shirt), David Dempsey, Kathleen Tomey, Brian Tighe, Ryan Wilson, David Ellis(he let me hold a Loveless Big Bear!), Ed Fowler, Joel Pirela and Walter Brend to name only a few. Thanks for making us cool toys and being such great folks.

The first piece I picked up at Blade was an Urban Raven by Rob Simonich. S30V, G-10 Gunner Grip scales, tiger stripes and both edges hair popping sharp. A great defensive carry piece.
Edited cause I keep remembering folks I met.

Next I picked up this piece from Kit Carson. Medium M#4, S30V modified drop point and rag micarta scales! I was totally blown away when Kit took this out from behind his table. Typical Carson fit and finish with beautiful rare rag micarta scales. After I picked my jaw from the floor I thanked Kit about 30 times. Here is thank you 31. Thanks Kit! :D

My last 2 knife purchases were from Jerry Hendrix and Wayne Hendrix.
From Jerry a beautiful boot knife with stainless bolsters. sambar stag scales and ats-34 blade. From Wayne a semi skinner with ats-34 blade, nickel silver guard and green micarta scales. Both pieces exhibit outstanding fit and finish and great value.

Love those grips on the Urban Raven.

The Carson is fantastic. That rag micarta really does look good.

Glad to see that you had such a great time. One of these years I am going to have to make it to Blade just so that I can meet all the great people associated with the knife industry that attend.

Excellent taste! I could see any one of those on me. Especially that Carson. The right size, right materials, right everything. Sweet

Hi Samhell,
Yep, it was a hoot! That Carson is soooo fine! Congrats on some very sweeet blades.
Take Care,
Clyde
