Here is a pic of my boar hunting knives. The Bowie has been affectionately named "Slash" by my 5 year old son. It has a 9 1/2" blade of forged W2 steel with Damascus fitting and a fossil walrus ivory for the handle. I diviated a bit from my original design but was very pleased with the way this turned out. The grip offers a very secure hold. The hunter has a forged 4" blade of 1084/15N20 Ladder pattern damascus, a nickel silver guard and a handle of fossil walrus ivory. The handle is shaped to match the bowie.

The second pic shows some of the activity that is going on in the hamon on Slash.

Very nice, Craig. Really like the blade & handle shapes.
Any chance these will be available? Blood stains - no problem!
Good luck.

Thanks for the responses. I was real happy with the color in the ivory on the little knife. The piece of ivory was a little rough on the outside and it looked like it had some color but you never know until you get into it.

Michael,

I have grown kind of attached to these two and the boy is is also pretty fond of "Slash" so I think that I will hang on to these and the bowie will be his some where down the road. Thanks though.

Craig

I will be chasing piggies for the rest of the week. Wish me luck.

Beautiful knives, and the ability to pass a knife like that down to your son, who evidently appreciates it, is one of the best things in the world. Well done, and good luck with the piggies.

Don't waste your time on the one in the house made out of bricks.:D

Craig,
Stunning pair, the Bowie does it for me though.
I'll echo Shaldag's comment on passing it on to your son.
Love the handles on both but the guard and ferrule on the big one is extra sweet.
