My Book and Kickstarter Project!

I photographed and wrote a children's book. Now, I've just launched a Kickstarter.com project, to get the funding to publish the book.

This is the first book that I've fully written and illustrated all by myself, and also my first children's book. I'm pretty excited!

I'd love to share the link to it, but I don't know whether that would be OK with the moderators. (Please let me know, Brian Jones.) Unless I get the OK from the mods, I won't post the link.

It's a book about wild animals, which is why I'm posting it in the Wilderness forum. Hopefully, it will be just the first in a long line of wildlife books from me.

It's also my first time trying to fund a project through Kickstarter. If any of you are interested to hear more details about how that goes, or about what is involved, I'd be glad to discuss it and answer your questions.

Awesome. I think the thread can stay, Esav and the other moderators may know a better place for it. Thanks for posting it. I too have had the urge to do a childrens book on bees.

It's a book about Anna's hummingbirds growing up on the nest - photographed and written entirely by me. It shows all kinds of rarely shown behaviors, and explains what's going on in a way that helps kids understand the way biologists look at nature.
