its why i got into knife making
flatgrinder
yep its right around 3/16 thick a hjoss you might say
the liners are .063 and g10 scales
the edge is 3 inchs no more no less:D

Thanks for the reply. I thought it was 3/16". That's really nice for your first folder. Makes me want to give it a try.

The design and way you make knives looks outstanding.

I like what I see in that folder, would like to see a good sized tactical folder from you after seeing that ;)

i had been working to have a knife that had a good 3 grip positions 2 of them being hammer (with thumb on the back of the hump)
and index finger out to the end of the spine fro close tight work
i may have to post a few pictures to show what i mean

so far as looking good well its still not good enough too me

I made a folder like that. The blade shape is really useful and a pleasure to use. I like the grind on yours better though. Nice job!

Would you mind taking a picture of it closed?

all in good time i want to make sure that im happy with my work then get spyderco approval
then start making them
or jsut get to where im happy with my work and no use the hole opener
closed as asked for

I am no knifemaker, I just buy them. I really think an oval hole is just as good as a round hole and takes less space.

thanks guys if i do make a few of these i dont think i ll use 3/16 thickness its cool and all but real unneeded most likly 1/8 or so
