Well, I finally got around to finishing taking pics of my Bradshaw knives, and publishing them to my website, so that I can post them with impunity, without using too much of BF bandwidth.

Well, since I know you'd rather see the pictures than hear me talk, let me just quickly say that Bailey has become my favorite smith, his sense of design is timeless, his execution excellent, and, for what you get, his prices are still reasonable.

So, here they are...

First up is one of his "Folding Bowies". Here's why i love these knives so much, many of us are very into forged fixed blades, one reason is, they possess that hand fashioned, "forged" look and feel we love, something you dont get in a typical stock removal folder, but here, with Bailey's folding bowies, the blades are of course forged, they are bowie patterns, and while these knives are indeed folders, they retain that look and feel of a good forged fixed bowie, the best of both worlds. Plus, of the 4 folders of his I own, none have the slightest play, blades are centered, actions are superb, and of course the workmanship and materials are the best. Is it any wonder I would sell my soul, and often do, whenever I see another of these for sale. :)

Anyway, the first set of pics is a folding bowie, bale lock, ultra-rare RED BARK fossil ivory, lavish 18k gold inlay on the bolsters, and a razor sharp, forged, 3.5" 52100 bowie blade with the most amazing double temper lines! Sharp top clip, truly a forged bowie, but it folds. :)

Next up is another amazing folding bowie. This one has a forged 3.5" 4 bar composite damascus blade thats been polished and blued. Blued, colorful multi bar damascus bolsters with some simple silver engraving, textured, hammered silver pins and liners, and some of the sweetest fossil ivory ever. The lockbar is also blued damascus. Awesome.

Next is my most recent acquisition, another folding bowie, with a 3.5" blade of high contrast 4 bar composite damascus, gorgeous gold engraved bolsters, stainless liners and lockbar, and amazingly well matched fossil ivory, what can I say, other than, holy crap this thing is nice. :)

Next is a folding hunter, 3.25" forged damascus blade, polished damascus bolsters, and killer stag, also a bale lock.

OK, that does it for folders, but of course Bailey has been known to make a few fixed blades too... :)

First up is a presentation hunter/bowie, 5.5" forged damascus blade with a very distinctive temper line, bolsters are satin stainless with heavy gold inlays, there is more gold inlay on the blade and buttcap, and the handle is premium English walnut.

Well, there you have it, I may add pics of new knives as I get them.

All pictures were taken by me, and I have no problem if you want to save or use them, long as its not for a commercial purpose and you give me credit for them.

What a wonderful collection. I esppecially like that Folding Bowie pattern and that Red Bark Ivory is very special.
Beautiful work all around, nice photo work as well.

What a great focus and collection. I love them all, especially the folding bowies. Such a natural, yet so different. Cool!

Congrats, Meg. Good all around. Thanks so much for taking the time to post and display.

Fantastic, Bailey!

That's one hellava  Bradshaw gathering you have !

I've yet to see any of his work. . .that didn't make me go - - - ->

Note to self: figure out how to get top knife from Ari
Sweet collection, Air.

:)

Well you know these pics are going to make me smile. Bailey's folding bowies are enough to make me break my "fixed blades only" rule. Predictably, that BIG S-guard is my personal favorite of the bunch.

Cheers,

Roger

That is a stunning collection. I particularly like the small Jellyroll bowie and the big S-guard which is actually very close to being a C-guard.
