my buck 110 is being a pain!

hey. when in the open position, the blade of my buck 110 moves like a rag doll. it locks, but it feels like the blade is about to fall off. it wabbles all of the place. its really wierd. anyone got any suggestions?

Send it back to the factory or exchange it where you bought it. You got a dud.

Possibly you have lint or other foreign matter in the lock mechanism? Toothpicks will remove the gunk both from the outer and inner areas.

i think i know what you're talking about. I'm not gonna lie to you, though, i din;t know that much about knives. You guys probly think i am dumb. I want to learn more though, thats why i started readin things in this forum. But i tried to see if anything was stuck, but the opening is so thin and tight. I can't see anything.

i got it like a month ago. it was fine and all. but now its actin up.

send it to Buck. Dont deal with wal-mart. It will take more time to deal with them then it will to send it in. send a note explaining the problem and it will be fixed.

So u mean the blade doesn't lock up tight and it's like hanging around? What kind of noise did u hear when it's fully deployed? Do u see any foreign objects in and around the pivoting area, and inside the handle? Since when did that happen?

when it locks, the blade still wobbles a lot. its not stiff like it should be. i don't see anything unusual inside with the blade and the lock meet. it started doin this yesterday. it locks. but when i first got it, and i locked it, it felt like it was not even a folding knife anymore. but now its all weird.

Presume u didn't drop it from the roof top of a very high building or anything like that... Just send it back to Buck and they will take care of it. Pls let us know what did they say about the problem, then. We would like to know.

FWIW, they dont generally send a report on what they fixed like CR does. They just fix it. Kinda dissappointing. I'm courious like that too.

My 30+ yr old one is still so hard to open that I don't use it anymore.

I know, Lavan, it's almost impossible to have a "loose Buck" like that... possible chance of, one in a million?
