Well, you guys asked as soon as I got one made to take a pic and post up, so here it is!!!! Before commiting to a custom maker suggested here, I went to a local saddle/leather shop to see what he could come up with. Turned out better than expected and only cost me about $20. Not real fancy, and I realy like the traditional indian style leather string wrap. Heavy 12-14oz. full-grain leather too. The little slice in the top came from me while being stupid. LOL!!!

How do you like that big sky? What is the blade thickness? I'm looking at one online new for only $38.00. Seems like a nice knife. I have been looking at a bunch of differant knives for a few differant task and this looks like it might fit the bill for what I'm wanting.

Sorry another question. Are the handle thcik on it or slimmer? Looking for a knife I can throw in the pack and forget about it or wear under a shirt and forget about it.

Just at 1/8" blade thickness.

15/16th thick handle.

You won't forget it's there if it is under your shirt.

Thanks. For $38.00 I think I will get it. I like the looks of it. Yours does have nicer handles though. This one has grey handles.

I've been looking for one of the brown ones myself.
Have two of the charcoal/grey. Paid $43 and $45 shipped.

Will post a pic of the handle width later.

Does anyone have apicture of the back of the sheath? I was wanting to see the clip that everybody hates so I can start planning on what to do to it before it gets here. Thanks folks. Ya have been great..

I threaded some leather through a bend in the clip. The end of that has a keyring that I loop between the belt and pants for when sheath falls off (and it does).

J...coool.
Can you post a pic of the back?

Sorry it took so long to reply. Thanks everyone for the compliments, I told the leatherman I wanted something simple and traditional, and he did the rest. Here's a pic of the back of the "new" sheath.

It looks nice. Maybe I'm just a cheapo, but I'm wondering why one could not remove the clip and rivet a leather strap on the sheath??? Keep in mind I dont have mine yet so I havent had a chance to get up close and personal with it. I kind of like what Buckalhoic did. Don't get me wrong that a real nice sheath. Just a little too nice for what I want to do with it.. I like it though.

You could Kyhunt...remove the clip. There is a screw/rivet on the back that I presume retains the metal clip. Then put on the leather belt loop.
I just hate messing with stock stuff too much...especially since I'm most likely not able to get it back to it's original form/fit/function. The lanyard gig works ok and thanks for the comments.

J...I like the simple and clean look of your sheath. Thanks for the back pic. Don't feel bad about the little slice you put in it. I did the same thing with a brand new Ken Richardson the first day I got it. Was bummed at first. Now, it reminds me of my one night camping outside of West Yellowstone a few years ago.

Thanks folks. This has been very helpful. I ordered mine today and it is suppose to ship today. Looking forward to it. You folks have been very helpful.

Well I got the 403 today. I like the looks but don't care for the way it feels in the hand. So I think it will just go into my collection. Not disappointed at all with the qualtiy. Just don't care for the way it feels.
