my Cabela's 110 knife arrived, question...

a newbie knifenut here, jumping on the Buck bandwagon. My Cabela 110 arrived, but what are those spots on the brass? :confused: Would this be acceptable to you?

That looks to be tanish. This is very common with brass and is easily removed with a brass cleaner.

looks like something was sprayed/splashed on it that reacted with the brass. Obviously if it doesn't polish off without any pitting-staining,then send it back to Cabelas for replacement as defective. Brass normally tarnishes and requires polishing to keep it looking it's best.

BTW welcome to the forums. I see my daugther is a neighbor of yours, lives in Soquel. When we were there in late July, we saw the wharf to wharf race. What a crowd ran in that one!!!!!!!
 
I use Mother's mag wheel and aluminum polish on my 110's and really like it. It should remove that tarnish with no problem.

I wish you wouldn't have posted those last pics. I've been trying real hard not to buy one of those and you'r enot making it any easier:)

My 2nd 110 had a little tarnish on the bolsters, 1 munite and some flitz-no problem
 
I think you should get one, so does everyone else on this board. :) Aren't you worth it?

WOW!! Talk about a sharp lookin' knife...bee-yootiful!! Not your everyday 110, I guess. May have to pick one up at that price...
