Ive had it about twenty years now nothing much done to it 'cept for oiling, its got scratches is there anything i should be doing to it or leave it as is. The blades open and close with a healthy snap, the knive just feels solid, well made. Anybody have one? were they popular back in the day? Codger gave me a few tidbits of info but is there anyway i can get a time frame on it? I know nothing except it was my grandpas knife, so it has to be from the 70's or earlier. When were the Sword Brand knives offered? so many questions...
any help for a clueless new guy??
Cheers

i have one coming that i won on ebay a few days back, also sword brand (blade etch). used but looks in v.g. condition, tang is stamped: CAMILLUS STAINLESS USA, (don't know if 2 or 3 lines). from what i understand from a Codger post, if the handles have "Indian Stag" jigging, they were listed in '76 catalogue, if some other ? jigging, listed in "73 cat. a search here should bring up his post. am looking forward to receiving mine. i have a really nice, early '70s ? Schrade 125OT. make a nice pair. roland

looks like its just me and you on this one! How would one know what jigging pattern was which? Dunno perhaps i need to stop obsessing over this! On a more positive note i have learned alot on this site, rather enjoy it! Need to get my head off the camillus and back into my other creative endeavors!
Enjoy your new purchase!
cheers
