My cara cara 2 has no raise/bump near the tip?

My Cara cara 2 (ordered from amazon itself not any 3rd party companies) has no hump near the tip of the blade for some reason. Everything else is in check except for the tip. I want to provide pictures soon but it's late. I never really thought too much until now. The beak on the package is also silver and not gold? I'm confused especially since it's from the Spyderco factory to amazon. Is this a fake or what?

By bump do you mean a more rounded tip or something similar to the Spyderco Stretch? The version I had a few years back looked the exact same as yours and yes the holographic beak is supposed to be silver on the Byrd line, with gold on the Spyderco brand.

http://www.spyderco.com/catalog/details.php?product=587 If you look close in this picture the tip rises up a little more dramatically then steadily rises up. Mine looks more like a Paramilitary 2 where it's very steady and leaf-like.

That would be rounded tip I was referring to. This is from the second gen. which is imitating the Gen 4 Endura, where as the models you and I have are the "Gen 3" Endura with the more acute tip.

Go to google images and type in byrd cara cara 2. Then filter it from 2014 January 01 on; there are a bunch of pics that show it having a tip just like yours, including a full-blown review. Must be a recent change.

The curious thing about it in my mind is a lot of people have asked for that treatment to be done to the Endura and Delica, but the argument against it is they're more 'general population' knives, and those tend to get tips broke. After switching to the -4 style tip from the -3, less of them have shown up in Colorado supposedly. The Byrd line, though, is even more firmly in the budget/gp realm, so why switch them over and not be willing to do it with the Endura/Delica?

FWIW a lot of people would prefer the pointier tip. You might be able to throw it up on the trade section and get someone to swap with you. Or if you haven't beat it up yet, return it and buy one of the older versions.
