Figured since I took a picture for a different thread, I might as well get some mileage out of it.
These are the three knives I have fileworked.
In the order of doing. The Delica was a ...slip... on going too far on a cut sorta toward the bottom. DON'T GO PAST THE MIDDLE.
The best (IMO) is the Victorinox Alpineer or a close second (maybe better) is the U2 (but that one was a booger to cut)
I don't know how far up the blade Fallkniven takes that SGPS but the blade is tough to cut.
Poster Jared Stenoien suggested diamond files from Harbor Freight.
They DO work well.
However, be sure to examine ALL the files on that hanger. Some are done haphazardly and rough and would NOT work well. I picked one where the diamond dust was glued fairly uniformly and thin.
But I only used the diamond ones for a few finish cuts on the U2. The major cuts were done with the set of files I already had.
I tried a set from Home Depot (China) and took em back. They wouldn't TOUCH the steel.
Anyhow, that's my whole output.....so far.
It's easy, but yet it isn't. Makes my finger numb from pushing on the file.
