My Carry Choices

I am not "comfortable" with small Sebbies. This Snakewood is my third small Sebbie, all NIB, but the others are gone and I got this one in today. The small is excellent, but is too small for my hand.

Here is my large Classic, which looks a bit used, but I love it and it's smooth as silk. I have three of the large series; it fits my hand better. I've gone through about seven of these; I can't seem to resist them.

Here is my first and only Zaan. This one is my EDC. Not likely to ever get rid of it. Along with the other two to show relative sizes.

I pretty much run the exact same edc as you. I am starting to appreciate the smalls a little more now. I'll carry one depending on the place I'll be.

Doesn't get any better than the Umnumzaan though:thumbup:

Ditto for me, although that doesn't stop me from owning one and I'll probably end up with a couple more just for their artistic expression. The small in your pic doesn't even look comfortable in your hand and neither does mine. If it's too small I struggle to manipulate it, if it's too large I need 2 hands to open and close it. Thank goodness for the Almighty Zaan. Don't have my Large Sebbe yet, but I suspect when it arrives, I'll edit this post to read, "Thank goodness for the Almighty Zaan & the Legendary Large Sebbe".

Completely agree. I've owned many smalls and larges, and I only EDC the larges. I'll carry one of the smalls if I need a more discreet blade to carry, but they don't feel comfortable in my hand like the larges do. I'll add that the inlays definitely help though. They add some roundness to the knife that fills out the hand a bit more.

I also prefer the large sebenza as it is better suited to my hand size. I do carry a small as back up but it hardly gets used these days.

I much prefer the large Sebenza or Umnumzaan, I do have one small but only because it's a Regular. The Mnandi sees to any use the Small Sebenza would get with me any way.

I too prefer the Lrg or the Umnumzaan, but I'm thinking of a Mnandi for dressier occasions.

If I were to get a small CRK it'd probably be the Mnandi.

My hands would fumble trying to take apart and put back together a small Sebenza.

The large Sebenza is as small as I'll can go (lg hands). Planning on picking up a Zaan in the future.
