Yeah... I know I'm late to the party... and ordering my ASH-1 two weeks before a Ganza was not very smart... but... it has arrived.

So here are some photos. :)

I chose an OD blade with "Magnum" Black canvas slabs.

Testing at the Weekend. :D

Cheers.

Can't wait to see what you have up your sleeve for this blade. Maybe a convex edge and a polished spine???

Nice looking knives, got all the bases covered.

What are your impressions of the ASH1 now that youve
got your hands on it?

Thanks for the pics!

I'm surprised... it's actually a lot smaller than I thought it was going to be... even though I had seen the masses of photos and videos.

I has a neutral balance... due to the design of it's rear end.. which is good on a knife this size... in my opinion.

The BATAC is more handle heavy than the CG ASH.. although the ASH weighs more overall.

I'll need to remove the texturing from the handle slabs..but.. I like it.. a lot. :)

Hey Soup,

Exactly the same config Ash1 arrived at my place yesterday.
I also thought it would be bigger overall. But it feels amazingly well. On the trip from Wauseon to the Netherlands at had company from another Ash1 a DC with black regular micarta. I have still to develop a preference for what handle style I like best....
I'll try to shoot some pics today or tomorrow...

Congrats with yours and don't forget to post some pics of you using her....

congrats and nice grouping
i think you need more infi , youve been fondling these so much you have worn off the coating and smoothed the handles :p:D

Congrats to your latest Busse acquisition!

Just receive the two I ordered today. These are my first Busse's and man, I was speechless and can only gawk at the size, feel, and look of the knives. The only previous fixed blade I've acquired is a Benchmad Nimravus. These CG ASH1's redefined my point of view on the term "nice knife"!

Like some on this forum, I was inspired to make the purchases (yes, I'm also waiting for a ASH1 LE) due to the Busse pics and posts in this forum. Am I glad I stumbled through here!

Although some may say the ASH-1 is not a chopper, every time I hold this magnificent double cut, G10 blade in my hand, it has a will of its own, and wants me to chop something with it in order to prove that I’m truly worthy of its hidden potential. I must yield…
