All week was nasty and rainy, it didnt let me get out of the house for anything other than work.
So what to do with days cooped up inside? Reprofile the FBM of course!!
I went down to a local Native American craft store, and picked up a bunch of THICK leather for cheap!!!! I like using leather for my backing when I sharpen, its not nearly as soft as using a mousepad or any rubbery type backing. Plus I think it is perfect for creating a really consistant results. Going from sharpening to stropping is seamless, as they are the same surface.
Anyways, I also cleaned up some more of that decarb layer, using a product called Heavy Metal polish. It is similar to Nev R Dull, but has a grit in it as well.
