Hi everyone,
I just received my Chaves 229 Ultramar Tanto! This is my first thumb stud action, so it's going to take a bit of getting used to. My Spyderco PM2 hole seems more natural for me.
This knife is built like a tank. Full Titanium handle. Blade is .16 thick by 3.65" and 6.45 oz! Fit and finish is great. Blade comes perfectly centered and sharp! No problem slicing through thin paper, unlike my Hogue. Action is getting smoother the more I deploy and close. I love this Tanto Blade. It just looks bad ass. Definitely not an inexpensive knife, but Reate has done an incredible job.
