Cleaned these up a bit today.

Kutmaster
Imperial
Unmarked "Barlow" on the bolster. Probably Chinese.

Oddly the cheap unmarked one is my favorite because I like the handles.

I have that same imperial that I rehandled with leather, a very good slicer. The bottom Barlow is from Pakistan I think, they used that jigging pattern on many knives.

Best reggards

Mind if I add to your pile?

A Colonial with genuine saw cut bone handles... ;)

That's a really cool mod. Nobody works, or messes with traditional pocketknives, in this neck of the woods. I'm acquiring tools and pins though and playing with cheap kits. I wish they still made inexpensive , American Barlows, but I digress. Rough Rider makes a nice, cheap Barlow though, that fills a void of a sort.

Thank you. Same here where I live so my buddy and I have started tinkering with our own knives. it will be SO much easier when we can get a belt sander. These handles were made using a grinder then hand sanding. Takes forever!

I just recently got one of those little RRs, and I kinda like it. Smaller than I expected. Here it is next to a Boy's Knife for a size comparison.

Three Colonials because of the Old Hunter post. The electricians barlow is a salesman's knife.

Here's my RR, I was complaining earlier about the lack of inexpensive USA Barlows, don't get me wrong I own several GECs, and they make a fine Barlow, and have a Canal Street English Barlow on the way, I'm not that big of a tightwad, but I wish more people, myself included, could have enjoyed the cheap, inexpensive, stateside Barlows of yesteryear. You still can, scouring pawnshops and fleamarkets. But growing up it would have been cool to have had a cheap USA Barlow in your pocket.

You mean the "peanut" barlow? Very nice fit and finish.
Someday I'll buy a camera. Tired of having to do these watercolor paintings, takes way too long!
(I'm referring to the top photo with the little Schrade, of course.)

Here's a Colonial Electricians Barlow (it's a shell handle). OH

I'd kill for that knife. My mom and her family are from Larned, KS, which is right in the middle of those towns.

Wow, really? That's very cool of you, thanks! My mom's father died when I was just a baby, so I never knew him, and any pocket cutlery would probably have gone to my uncle, who still farms the family land. I'd be proud to have that knife in my pocket. It'd fill a couple gaps in my collection too; I don't own a TL-29 or an American-made barlow. Email inbound!

Hm, I can't find an email option on your profile. Send me one at planterz(at)gmail.com
