You guys were absolutely right. Chimeras are great knives! Here's mine which arrived yesterday via Big Brown Truck:

I love everything about this Chimera. The action is sooooo buttery smooth, and the lock-up is just superb. Ergonomically, this is perhaps THE nicest folder I've ever owned. It's incredibly lightweight, yet feels very secure and substantial in the hand. Instantly this piece has become a very treasured and special blade within my daily carry repertoire.
Guys, thanks for your excellent advice and views regarding the Chimera, and thank you D.C. Munroe for making such a fabulous piece.
Here's another pic of it that I just took during tonight's sunset. Pictured with my new Chim is my pet CTII for size comparison.

Very nice Eric, that certainly does look like a knife to be proud of. You obviously made an excellent choice.

Veeeeery nice!! I've been looking at them for a while now. Seeing yours just put one in the "next on the list" category!

Very nice Eric! Deryk builds a great knife, and is very detail conscious. I can't wait until my two pieces are finished. I have a Chimera, and a Elite coming soon... Yes!

Here's a couple more pics of my new Chimera along with my very favorite custom; my Fred Perrin Custom Bali.

Please Eric, stop posting all these beautiful pictures

I have been missing my CF Chimera ever since I got rid of it. Hopefully I will find another one at Atlanta. I have had 2 Chimeras and to this day I have no idea why I got rid of them.

By the way, very nice looking knives there. I love my CTII. Its one of my favorite OTFs.

Eric,
I must say.....That DOES have some NICE lines to it!! I think the idea of the pivot being far forward is unique also.

Cool, David! So how do you like it so far? Those scales are NICE. I've made mine a daily carry since it arrived 2 weeks ago. The Chimera is unbelievably light, yet incredibly strong. The action gets smoother with every opening. This knife is just very right, and I'm quite happy that I decided to add this knife to my collection.

Well, I found my new Chimera in Atlanta at Blade (thanks David). This one has a stainless damascus blade and is marked # 2 of 25. I think this one is my favorite Chimera so far. Check it out:

Michael, I heard that you bought EVERYTHING at Blade, so why doesn't is surprise me that you found this beauty there??
Just when I thought that my Chim was the perfect knife, you show me yours in damscus! Beautiful!!

Actually,....I'd like to see an entirely non-magnetic Chim with a titanium/diamond carbide impregnated blade. THAT would be the only knife that could entirely replace my Talonite Chim as a daily carry.

Nice score, Michael!

I just got it yesterday. The customs held the package for two weeks but I managed to get the knife without having to pay any taxes

.

I am also glad I have it. I compared it with other talonite knives I have and foud out that the color (or appearance) of the blade is slightly different. It looks more like Titanium than Talonite.

I am sure it will perform well, IMO it is really great knife especially for its price. It instantly replaced my BM 710 as my daily carry knife. The only thing I did not try so far was opening a beer bottle with the Chimera (the 710 was great knife for that

Those are great looking knives! What a really impressive design. I have not been able to locate any contact information for D.C. Munroe. I looked for websites and found a link on Rob Simonich's site but it didn't go anywhere. Could someone post contact info.? Thanks...Ed.

Guys,

I am having a small problem... the pivot pin is a bit too loose and I would like to tighten it. But when I turn it, the other side moves as well and I am not able to figure out how to hold it.... Any help will be appreciated.
