My new Chinook II arrived today from NGK. All I can say is WOW!! This is one hell of a nice knife. Thanks Sal!!!

The Chinook II is my favorite current prodcution Spyderco right now. They did a fabulous job on it.

Congrats on getting one.

Congrats on the new Spyerco.
Could anyone post some pics of the Chinook II?
Maybe next to a Delica and one in hand?
I've seen pictures of it, but I'm having trouble figuring out the relative size. Somtimes it looks massive and others it looks like a nice, large EDC.
Thanks.

There are pics in another recent thread here that show a Chinook II along with a bunch of other knives. One of them is a Dodo (the only one of the pictured knives I currently own). The Chinook's handle isn't much bigger than the Dodo's, which I don't find to be intrusive at all for my needs. I won't know for sure until a Chinook shows itself on my doorstep, though.:)

Here are a couple of threads in which Yester5 has posted some nice comparison shots. I think Yester5 may be a professional photographer. If he's not, he should be. He has taken some awesome pictures. I love the pics he took showing just the Chinook.

Thanks folks.
The Chinook II looks to be much smaller than its lines would indicate. And, yes, the Dodo handle is fine for me - not too big. Darn, the Chinook II looks to be on my "to do" list! I've got grey Calypso, Jr. and SS Jester on the way. It's funny how these Spyderco knives just come in waves at my house.:)

Dennis, thanks for the kind remarks about my photos.
I'm no pro, just learning with this new digital camera. I'm just a dumb sheet metal worker who enjoys knives and the company of these discussion boards. But I appreciate the feedback. :)

Your pics are great!

If, in your copious free time, you find it possible to show a Dodo and Chinook II adjacent to each other at a few angles (with less perspective depth than your current ones), I would worship you from afar.;)

If not, your pics are still great.

This shows the handle width (again, excuse the quality...still learning:))
