Here is a pic of my Chris Reeve Knife Collection to date. I recently added the skinner as it was not in the first pic. As you can see, I fancy the One Piece Line-up. They are by far my favorite and it will be a sad day when they are gone. Not pictured is the "on its way" Bocote Mnandi bringing my tally to 28 and counting. I have to say my favorite is the Shadow I. When I got my "skinner", I could only imagine the customizing posibilities. As much as I like the sebenza, the One Piece line is still my favorite. Enjoy !

Yeah, I am thinning it out a little. I am hoping to sell the project II to pay for a project I without serrations. I never really cared for the jereboam II, I like the shadow I better. And the unique, I want to get a design that I like better and will use.

Thanks

Fantastic collection of one-pieces. I've got a couple and the details of the fit and finish are amazing when you look closely. For example, the tiny areas where Chris Reeve knocks the point off of corners are all exactly the same size and shape - unbelievable precision.

Congrats on amassing such a formidable collection!

What's the number, and name if there is one, on your Pachmayr? I may be able to tell you a bit about it. Here's mine...

Its a Pachmayr #17 South African Made. Yours is only the second one I have ever seen. They certainly must not have made many of them. They are pretty cool. Yours looks mint, mine is scuffed a little. But its still a keeper.

I worked for Pachmayr at the time they were made. The original order was for 50, but I'm pretty sure they only did 25. I have carried mine quite a bit, even to Iraq when I did my tour there. I talked with Chris at the Blade Show about these knives and he agreed that they never took 50.

This one has my name on the reverse side, about a dozen of them did. It was an option offered to those who ordered before production began. Those who did that could chose the number of the knife they wanted.

I am looking for number 13, which was made for Keith Sasaki, who was the assistant manager of the store at that time. I know where two knifes definitely are, and where at least one more should be.

Thanks for the info, now I know alot more about it than I did before. This was my 3rd CRK and I got it on ebay in 2003. I do not have any paperwork for it or box, but it is numbered 17, so the number is pretty low. If they only made that many, it surely is a collectible. Many Thanks for the info.

There never was any "paperwork". I don't recall a box either. Mine was wrapped in paper when I got it. But then again, it was personalized and sold before it was produced.

The design was worked out with CR and Karl Leppard, the retail store manager for Pachmayr's. Karl was a Vietnam vet, Marines, and had his own ideas as to what a knife should be. He's also from Texas, a salesman, and can spin a line of BS like few others. He figured to sell thousands of these; never happened. Pachmayr was not positioned as a knife shop, and the marketing never found the customer base.
