Hi!

Thanks for all of your suggestions on which Becker to get. After lots of deliberation I decided on a Christmas present for myself:

Sorry about the crappy photo quality (had to hide from SWMBO :().

Initial impressions:

BK2 is a beast! I can see why she's a classic. The sheath is pretty cool too.

BK9 had the Remora extra (a benefit of buying in the UK maybe? They stick around on the shelf longer?).

BK9 sheath is a bit rattly.

BK2 is good and sharp, but BK9 wasn't. Nothing five minute's sharpening didn't solve (1095 is good & easy to sharpen!).

Next thing to decide is which one next?

Once again, thanks for the help!

PS - got my first Ka-Bar today; first knife of 2011!

Excellent!! I love using my BK-09. I used it last night to chop up firewood. Batons through logs like a dream! Enjoy!

Thanks guys.

They're still a little clean and tidy at the moment, I haven't had a chance to put them to work yet. I'll be sure to take some pics when I do though!

Now thats a good christmas present

I slide a Small Piece of tactical webbing down the side of my sheath to stop the rattling, works great....

Nice! I was expecting my -9 today but the tracking still says in Georgia. Bleh. That's a good lookin' set you've got!!

No worries on the camera, use your new knives to chop it up and then show photos of your destruction.

wait I don't think that will work.....

YES ANOTHER VICTIM, OR, ER, BECKER OWNER!!!!

Congrats, CB, you got 3 very, very fine knives there. Now, you are required to go out and beat the hell out of them and knock some of that paint off.:D

Congrats--nice choice! I like the way you think...when you can't decide, buy both!!

Congrats Claudias! You'll soon know why I chose the BK2, if I only have one knife on me it's a great one knife to have!

I'm hoping to have mine out tomorrow...now that I am somewhat over the flu that Moose sent my way :grumpy:

Sweet picks buddy. Sorry but I had to chuckle when I saw this line. I kind of went through a bit of this with the warden. She couldn't understand why I would need more knives and we have reached an understanding. I don't harp or complain about some of her new purses\shoes, and she leaves the knife thing alone. :D

Usually, I at least get my Christmas present to myself right. Certainly looks like you did!

Thanks for the comments. Those knives keep peering at me and mumbling about chopping and cutting stuff up. They're gonna be mad that I'm away for three weekends in a row with cadets, and I can't take big sharp things with me!

Those pics are bad, aren't they? Don't be too down on the camera, though. The study's quite dark with poor lighting, and I'm not the best photographer in the world (no, really...).

I'm glad that I'm not the only that has to hide my sharp obsession! My girlfriend does have a lot of shoes and handbags, but I must admit that I fill the house with knives, outdoor gear, books and comics. We're supposed to have a one in, one out rule: it's just rude to do that with knives though!
