My Christmas Sneaky Pete Story! (A little late)

I had planned to post this up right after Christmas, but ended up catching the creeping crud and it just got lost with the loss of time.

So I have been lusting after a Sneaky Pete of my own for some time. Not the type to just take a knife out of inventory for myself, I just continued to lust and want, watching as Andy would send me a batch with a Sneaky Pete, and it would get sold, going right on back out the door. My wife, being the little sneak she is, took the one I wanted out of inventory on Christmas Eve and marked it as sold! I somehow completely missed it. It was the last present I opened on Christmas morning and was from my wife and kids! I was blown away as I had no clue it was coming!

I wanted this knife to use for my signature dishes which are a grilled whole beef tenderloin and Beef Kabobs. I cooked the whole beef tenderloin Christmas Night and Kabobs for New Years Eve. Needless to say the knife got a work out and I love it!

Here are a few pics of the knife and meet!

Hope you all had a Merry Christmas and Happy New Year!

Food looks great and the knife even better. Wives can be very devious at times:D

Man, that is cool right there. You get a lot of knives in there Scott, and to think you'd been vocal enough for her to know you were after a specific one of them. Thank you brother. I happen to think Wenge is some of the most beautiful stuff I put on knives! Nice pick. What do you think of the handle shape?

I keep my Sneaky Pete in the kitchen knife drawer beside a guardless Woodchuck, a Woodsman and a Bushfinger. The drawer also holds several custom chef's knives including Harner's and Calton's. I tend to use my SP before all others... she's just fun to handle, fun to use. She does a nice job with kitchen duties! Nothing is better than a toy you can use everyday!

You sir landed a good 'un. Great gift! The knife scales really pop! I'll bet they're twice as bright in person.

To think, all Duder got for Christmas was a bowling ball and a can of Simoniz. Hahaha.

Nice! I almost ordered that one, but decided to go with the Bushcrafter tuxedo!

Love the handle shape. Feels really good in my oversized hands!

Awesome stuff Whitty, that tasty looking chunk of meat got me salivating. I love the last knife you sent me, I'll have to come back soon for another Fiddleback of folder soon.

Would love it if you do!

Good looking Sneaky Pete Whitty, and some great looking meats there too. I love my Sneaky Pete, and play with it in the kitchen some too, and yep the handle feels great in the hand, and offers great control of force on the blade in multiple grips and uses.

My Sneaky Pete got used a bit this Christmas season.... she likes her eggnog extra spiked with some good barrel strength bourbon...

My wife gave me the task of removing old lights from garland and stringing on new lights... I had to take several breaks for eggnog! LOL

Nice SP. Isn't Evan Williams already spiked? :D

I suggest your wife check the work after all those eggnog breaks... ;)

Yes, it comes with alcohol, but it's always more fun to add a little more! :) Makes it taste a little more like bourbon!
